Ministry of Health postpones analogue fax ban

The New Zealand Ministry of Health has postponed its deadline for the planned phase out of analogue fax machines in the healthcare sector, which was due to come into force next month.

The ministry issued a directive in 2019 that no new analogue fax machines be purchased and a switch to fully digital solutions or scan-to-email for exchanging patient information be used by December 2020.
