Hackathon for aged care innovation

Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) is organising a hackathon over two weekends in March and May to bring together innovators in aged care, technology, data and design.

LASA has partnered with the Aged Care Industry IT Council (ACIITC), the University of Canberra, the Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre and digital marketing agency Isobar for the event.

Rather than use the more confronting term of hackathon, the organisers have instead come up with the InnovAGE brand.

It will be held over the weekends of March 28-29 and May 2-3 May with the goal of challenging teams to come up with solutions, including services and products, to improve the lives of older Australians and their families.

InnovAGE will be held at the INSPIRE Centre at the University of Canberra. See www.innovage.org.au for more information.
