Call for nominations for HISA board

The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) is calling for nominations for five places on its board.

Elections will be held at the HISA annual general meeting on Wednesday, August 1 in Sydney. The official notice of the AGM, the agenda and the board nominees’ statements will be distributed on Wednesday, July 11.

HISA CEO Louise Schaper said it was an exciting time for eHealth,. “[The] transformative role of eHealth and the need for a health informatics-literate workforce is not only pressing, but is being recognised widely; and everyone is talking about eHealth and health reform,” Dr Schaper said.

“As a HISA board member, you will have the opportunity to make a substantial contribution to leading the organisation that has been representing Australia’s eHealth and health informatics community for 20 years.”

Nominations close at 5pm on Wednesday, July 4.
