Zedmed releases v20 with full PCEHR functionality
Zedmed has announced that version 20 of its clinical and practice management software, which includes full functionality to access and upload documents to the PCEHR, is available for general release.
Zedmed is the first full clinical system to allow users to access the PCEHR, and was the first system to upload a document natively, having achieved this a fortnight ago.
The previous release, version 19, came equipped with the ability to search the HI Service for health providers and practices, as well as import and view CDA discharge summaries and specialist letters.
Version 20 now has full PCEHR access to view clinical documents and upload shared health summaries.
As reported by Pulse+IT last week, Dr Bernard Shiu of Medical One Waurn Ponds in Geelong successfully uploaded a shared health summary on October 17. Since then, Dr Murray Verso of The Clinic Williamstown and Dr Mark Magill of Park Street General Practice in Geelong have also begun uploading documents.
Zedmed v20 also includes a number of other enhancements, including the ability to enter and record multiple observations within the one encounter, new merge fields for Medicare and DVA expiry dates, and new capability within the pregnancy module.
