HCN's Catalyst goes mobile

Health Communication Network (HCN) has released a mobile-optimised version of its Catalyst medicines information product.

Catalyst is a web browser-based drugs data resource aimed at clinicians at the point of care, particularly in the acute sector. Launched last year, it has now been optimised for the iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices.

HCN said Catalyst Mobile gave subscribers access to the same medicines information found in Catalyst Online, including product information (PI), consumer medicine information (CMI), independent drug monographs, drug product images, a product identifier module and product summaries.

The mobile version is free to current Catalyst subscribers, but users need to complete an automated form to obtain a username and password on an IP authenticated browser.

“Once authentication is finalised Catalyst Mobile can be accessed from anywhere with an active internet connection,” HCN said in a statement.

It is suitable for use on devices running iOS version 4 and above and Android 2.3 and above.
