Management Advantage and HATRIX integrate aged care software solutions
Two aged care clinical software providers will integrate their products to streamline clinical workflow in aged care facilities.
The integrated solution, currently in the on-site testing stage and set to be launched later this month, will enable the electronic MedChart to link a patient’s doctor, pharmacist and aged care facility nurse to the electronic medical chart in real time through a two-way seamless interface with Manad Plus.
Users will be able to move seamlessly from one system to the other as all key resident data will be shared by the two systems.
Management Advantage chief executive officer Peter Staples said the move would improve the efficiency of care by allowing users to improve medication management techniques.
“HATRIX and Management Advantage have produced the medication management solution for which the aged care industry has been crying out for,” he said.
HATRIX managing director Dr John Ainge agreed that the will provide better care to the aged care residents.
“We believe that the integrated solutions will offer aged care facilities a complete package of business and clinical needs,” he said.
“This is exactly the direction that e-health needs to move in, ensuring software tools augment better care for the resident.”
Features of the web-based MedChart include electronic prescribing and medical administration support. Features of Manad Plus include Claim and Payment statement management and reconciliation, internal and external database benchmarking and care management analyses and profiling.
