eJHI releases Vol 5, No1
The electronic Journal of Health Informatics (eJHI) has released its latest instalment online. The edition is a special issue on Systemic Interoperability, guest-edited by W. Ed Hammond, Director, Duke Center for Health Informatics. A Past President of the American Medical Informatics Association, Mr Hammond has served three times as Chair of Health Level 7 where he is currently serving as Vice-Chair.
The papers in this edition of the eJHI discuss some of the requirements for interoperability. Although most of the papers recognise that there are many areas for interoperability to be realised, all of the papers largely address the topic from the technical perspective — semantic and functional requirements.
All editions of the eJHI are freely available at: http://www.ejhi.net
