Ambulance Tasmania data breach referred to police

The breach of Ambulance Tasmania's paging system in which private details of ambulance call-outs were posted online by a third party has been referred to Tasmania Police.

The ABC revealed the breach on January 8, reporting that pager messages containing patients' personal details, condition and addresses were being listed each time paramedics were dispatched.
