Clintel Systems certifies The Specialist for MacOS X Lion, expands claiming options

Clintel Systems, developer of 'The Specialist' practice software solution has announced product compatibility with Apple's recently released OS X 10.7 ‘Lion’ operating system.

Managing Director of Clintel Systems, Nick Cuthbertson said that his company was keen to maintain compatibility with the evolving Mac platform, as well as other popular operating systems.

"As a long term Mac partner, Clintel is committed to ensure that the Clintel suite of software didn’t lag behind technology. Clintel’s other web based application, CareRight is compatible with most browsers including Windows Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. It also runs on an Apple iPad," said Mr Cuthbertson.

In a separate development, Clintel Systems has recently obtained a Medicare Online 'Notice of Integration' for Bulk Bill Claims, Patient Claims and Eclipse in-hospital medical claims. Clintel's first site to implement the new functionality, a large independent billing service that provides billing services for a wide range of medical specialists, went live at the beginning of September.

Julie Mulligan, Clintel System's Business Services Manager indicated that the response from the site to the new claiming channels has been very positive, stating that "the customer is looking forward to the streamlined billing that is now available to the clients that they serve".

Mr Cuthbertson said the Medicare Online function has been designed and developed within Clintel's new Generation 4 web-based platform, which is integrated into the existing Specialist software.

"Over the coming months we will be adding further Generation 4 enhancements to The Specialist, which will place our customers at the forefront of Web technology in this space."
