HCN updates MD3 to resolve duplication
Health Communication Network (HCN) has released an update to its Medical Director 3 software to resolve a duplication issue.
MD 3.12.1c will be uploaded to users automatically through HCN Automatic Update.
The previous version, MD 3.12.1b, contained a small glitch in which investigation results that included more than one OBR segment were appearing multiple times in the holding file.
HCN said this was due to the underlying file not being deleted, and therefore being reimported during the next read cycle.
“Whilst this was an inconvenience to users, results could still be actioned as normal, and patient data was not affected,” the company said in a statement.
“The 3.12.1c update ensures that HL7 pathology processing properly supports result files which contain multiple OBR segments.”
