HL7 to hold forum on CCA
HL7 Australia is holding a one-day forum on conformance, compliance and certification (CCA) for HL7 CDA documents and HL7 V2.x messages in Brisbane next month.
Hosted by the Australian eHealth Research Centre (AEHRC), the forum will explore the current and expected requirements for CDA, V2.x, coded values, healthcare identifiers and secure messaging delivery (SMD).
Delegates will receive a national policy overview on conformance and certification and will hear from experts about how conformance can be "designed-in".
There will also be presentations from leading certification laboratories on their approaches to conformance testing.
The organisers said the forum is ideally suited for vendors, PCEHR wave sites, jurisdictions and HL7 consultants.
Speakers include Andy Bond from the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA), who will provide a national view of conformance assessment; Vince McCauley from the Medical Software Industry Association; and Grahame Grieve of Health Intersections, who will discuss conformance testing of coded values.
Mark Paltt of KJ Ross and Donna O'Neill of IV&V Test Labs will discuss practical conformance testing of SMD and healthcare identifiers, while Will Pelecanos of NEHTA will discuss methods and tools for conformity assessment of CDA and SMD.
The forum will be held on April 18 at the AEHRC, located in the UQ Health Science Building at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Registrations are open to members and non-members.
