HISA looks for Standards bearers
The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) has invited nominations from interested parties to represent it on Standards Australia's IT-014 health informatics technical committee and a new sub-committee, IT-014-13 clinical decision support.
HISA was formerly represented on IT-014 by eHealth consultant David Rowlands, who stood down recently to further his business in Asia.
The committee is responsible for the development of Australian and international standards in the health informatics sector.
It recently decided to create a new sub-committee on clinical decision support to focus resources and prioritise work in this area.
The sub-committee will hold six to eight face-to-face meetings throughout the year.
