Free seminars on NPC and eProcurement

GS1 Australia and the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) are hosting seminars in Melbourne and Sydney next week to introduce the healthcare supply chain industry to their latest initiatives in national health supply chain reform and the use of GS1 standards.

Purchasers, suppliers and distributors of medicines, medical equipment and consumables are invited to attend the free seminars, which will be held on Wednesday, May 23 in Melbourne and on Thursday, May 24 in Sydney, from 7.30am to 9.30am at the GS1 Australia offices.

The seminars will focus on the implementation of medical supply chain management innovations in both public and private healthcare including the National Product Catalogue (NPC), hosted on GS1 Australia’s GS1net, and NEHTA's eProcurement Solution, which uses GS1 XML.

In addition to experts from GS1 Australia and NEHTA, speakers will include Richard Bowen, director of information for Health Purchasing Victoria, and Valentino Bulaon, manager of procurement information for HealthShare NSW. A supplier organisation will also present in each location.

The seminars are free of charge. Registration is now open.
