Rachel de Sain appointed ADHA manager for innovation and development

Former Sensis director of strategy Rachel de Sain has been appointed as executive general manager for innovation and development with the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA).

Ms de Sain, who previously ran her own digital strategy agency called Flaxworks, also did some stints with Healthdirect Australia to develop the My Aged Care and Mindhealthconnect online portals.

Her agency also worked on user experience for the design and development of the myCompass online mental health program for the Black Dog Institute.

Her role at the ADHA will involve encouraging developers to work with the agency to identify digital health opportunities and products that can assist both consumers and clinicians.

She joins Bettina McMahon, Monica Trujillo and Terence Seymour as one of five EGMs responsible for the new direction of the agency, which took over from the now disbanded National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) in July.

The final EGM, responsible for the operation of the My Health Record (MyHR) system, is still to be announced. All five report to new CEO Tim Kelsey.
