eHealth Queensland gearing up for eHealth Expo

eHealth Queensland has released details of tickets, sponsorship and speaking opportunities for the second eHealth Queensland Expo, which is being held on May 17 in Brisbane.

Similar to the well-attended events run by eHealth NSW and NSW HealthShare, the Queensland version kicked off last year and sold out of its 1200 tickets. eHealth Queensland expects 1800 this year.

Those interested in a speaking position are encouraged to apply online by February 22. The event will be addressed by Queensland Health Minister Cameron Dick and Queensland Health Director-General Michael Walsh.

The theme of this year's event is “Operation Digital: patient, clinician, technology”, which Mr Dick said reflected the need to bring the state’s digital and healthcare industry together to focus on patient outcomes.

“Digital innovation is now accepted as crucial to the continued improvement of patient outcomes, but this can only be achieved by all interested groups, including patients, clinicians, consumers, healthcare professionals, industry partners, innovators and the whole healthcare sector working together,” Mr Dick said.

“The eHealth Queensland Expo, one of the largest digital health conferences in Australia, will bring all of these groups together to share ideas, knowledge and passion for improving healthcare for Queenslanders.”

Sponsorship opportunities for companies are also available. See ehealthexpo.health.qld.gov.au for more.
