Unisys taps Sabotti to head life sciences and healthcare practice

Former CSC and IBM staffer Mark Sabotti has been appointed director of Unisys' life sciences and healthcare practice in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Sabotti will be in charge of expanding the company's business in the region, which represented 14 per cent of the company’s global revenue in 2016.

Unisys markets a range of solutions for the life sciences and healthcare sectors including mobile security, workspace technology, apps and cloud technology. Clients include the NZ Ministry of Health.

Earlier this year Unisys launched an integrated medical device management platform called Active Insights, which allows healthcare providers to monitor all of the medical devices within their organisation.

Brisbane-based Mr Sabotti said it was an exciting time to join Unisys as healthcare organisations are faced with a constant challenge to drive innovations in patient care, while also managing increasing pressures on cost management, compliance, and information security.
