HL7NZ's new board, developers on FHIR challenge

Two new members have been added to the board of HL7NZ, which also saw all of the previous members re-elected.
This includes chairman Peter Jordan, vice chairman Peter Sergent, treasurer Edwin Ng and secretary Linda McKay. They have now been joined by Pegasus Health's David Moorhouse and HealthLink's John Carter.
The standards organisation has also announced a collaboration with the University of Auckland to organise a “Developers on FHIR” challenge, calling for application architects, usability designers, developers, clinicians and students to submit an idea.
The challenge is to create apps that can have a direct effect on patient care using the FHIR standard.
It runs from December 2017 to March 2018 and ends in a full-day, hands-on event with submitted solutions judged by health sector experts. Prizes will be awarded for the top three submissions.
