Former Telstra Health CMO joins Coviu board

Former Telstra Health chief medical officer and ReadyCare CEO Amandeep Hansra has joined the board of Coviu, the telehealth platform spun out from CSIRO's Data61 group.

Dr Hansra is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is a member of its expert committee on practice technology and management. She has also held roles at Medibank Health Solutions and Ramsay Health Care.

Coviu CEO Silvia Pfeiffer said Dr Hansra brought to the board a world-class level of telemedicine knowledge and executive leadership experience.

“Alongside her strong commercial expertise, having Amandeep on our board will help us drive the next wave of growth for Coviu,” Dr Pfeiffer said. “Given she’s a practicing GP, she’s in a prime position to advise us on how to help healthcare practitioners across the country become more efficient through telemedicine.”

Dr Hansra is also a clinical reference lead with the Australian Digital Health Agency.
