Reid jumps Orion Health ship to Deloitte

Former Orion Health general manager Kate Reid has joined Deloitte NZ's consulting service as a director of digital health, based in Auckland.
Ms Reid, who spent three years with Orion and is the chair of New Zealand Health IT (NZHIT), will be working with Deloitte’s health sector leader Thorsten Engel to expand the firm's offerings and services to the industry.
Before joining Orion Health Ms Reid spent four years with treatment adherence specialist Atlantis Healthcare in the UK before heading up its NZ division for two years.
Deloitte’s national consulting leader Cobus Scholtz said Ms Reid was well known and respected in the industry as someone adept at pursuing partnerships and collaborations.
“She is passionate about the role of digital in driving precision health care,” Mr Scholtz said in a statement. “During her time at Orion Health, she has successfully grounded their brand in New Zealand as a technology company that can deliver the tools health care organisations need today.”
Deloitte has been involved in a number of high-profile digital health projects in NZ, including reviewing the National Oracle Solution (NOS) project and planning and designing the National Screening Solution (NSS).Deloitte’s healthcare team is a sponsor of next month’s Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) conference in Wellington.
