Steve Lutz joins Alcidion as BDM

Former Oneview Healthcare and Cerner staffer Steve Lutz has joined Alcidion as its general manager of business development for Australia and New Zealand.

Before heading up Oneview in the region, Mr Lutz spent 17 years with Cerner, including working with eHealth NSW on the statewide community health and outpatient care (CHOC) and electronic medications management (eMeds) programs.

Alcidion managing director Kate Quirke said Mr Lutz's track record combined with his depth of knowledge of healthcare software would be instrumental in driving the company's sales strategy.

ASX-listed Alcidion offers a suite of digital health technologies, including the Miya health informatics platform, Patientrack eObservations and patient deterioration warning system, and the Smartpage clinical communications system.

It has a presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets, most recently rolling out a patient journey platform for ACT Health. It also has a strong presence through Patientrack in the UK market, and last year signed a significant deal to implement its full suite at the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, the first such installation of its kind outside Australia.
