ACT Health director-general stands down

ACT Health director-general Michael De’Ath has stood down, effective immediately, and will return to Melbourne for family reasons, said to be in part due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Deputy director-general of health Kylie Jonasson has been appointed to the role of director-general for the next six months.
Mr De'Ath was appointed D-G in April 2018 and oversaw the re-accreditation of Canberra Hospital, the restructure of ACT Health to create Canberra Health Services as a separate organisation, and implementation of an independent review into the workplace culture within ACT public health services.
