Christine Hall appointed CEO of Pinnacle Ventures

Christine Hall, who took on the role of interim chief executive of Ventures, the innovation arm of North Island primary health organisation Pinnacle, in April, has been appointed permanent CEO.

Ms Hall joined the not-for-profit in October 2019 as a general manager supporting the Health Care Home and Patient Access Centre (PAC) and xcrania teams and takes over from John Macaskill-Smith, who led the organisation for three years and was CEO of Pinnacle itself for eight.

Pinnacle and Ventures are well known for introducing the Health Care Home model to New Zealand, and for co-developing the Indici cloud-based practice management system in association with Irish vendor Valentia Technologies.

Ms Hall trained as an occupational therapist in mental health and has worked at Waikato DHB and as a chief executive of a social housing organisation.

In addition to Indici and the PAC, a specialised call centre for a number of GP practices across the Midland region, Ventures runs IT solutions firm xcrania, has a data services team and also owns 13 general practices.
