Yvette D'Ath new Queensland health minister

Former Queensland Attorney-General and member of the federal House of Representatives Yvette D'Ath has been named as Queensland's new Minister for Health.

Ms D'Ath, who trained as a lawyer, takes over from Deputy Premier Steven Myles, who has taken on the state development portfolio.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk will name the rest of her cabinet today, following Labor's election win on October 31.
