Former Healthdirect CEO moves to Catholic Healthcare

Aged care provider Catholic Healthcare has appointed former Healthdirect Australia CEO Karen Borg as its new CEO, overseeing one of the largest providers of aged and community services in Australia.

Ms Borg was also previously president for the Asia Pacific region for medical device manufacturer ResMed, and an executive with Johnson & Johnson.

While at Healthdirect, Ms Borg oversaw the roll-out of the Coviu telehealth platform for Healthdirect in 2020. She was succeeded as CEO in February by former Australian Digital Health Agency COO Bettina McMahon.

Catholic Healthcare owns or operates 41 residential aged care services and nine retirement communities in NSW and southern Queensland.
