Dedalus bolsters team to support MedChart in NZ

Global healthcare software giant Dedalus created a New Zealand-based development and test engineering team for its MedChart ePrescribing and medications management system in its Wellington office.
Dedalus says the team will act as a bridge to the company’s research and development capacity within its global development centres.
Dedalus currently supplies 19 out of 20 district health boards with its ePharmacy pharmacy management solution, and also supplies MedChart to the Northern region and South Island DHBs.
It is being challenged in the Te Manawa Taki/Central region by the Better Meds system distributed by Alcidion, which will replace MedChart at Taranaki DHB.
Dedalus also supplies the DHBs with the patient administration systems iPM and WebPAS.
A Dedalus spokesperson said the bigger team in Wellington will augment the company’s global development network based in Chennai as well as the global product team in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
