InterSystems ups presence in New Zealand

EMR vendor InterSystems has opened a specialist New Zealand office in Auckland’s Newmarket to better serve local customers as its TrakCare patient administration systems rolls out at Auckland City Hospital and Starship Children’s Hospital.

The office is headed up by Brian Biggs, director of customer relations and sales for New Zealand.

InterSystems is rolling out TrakCare throughout the former Auckland District Health Board, now known as Te Toka Tumai Auckland, including community services. It is also used as a PAS and EMR at private hospital MercyAscot, and TrakCare for PAS and billing at the new Franklin Private Hospital in South Auckland.

The cloud-hosted solution will replace three patient management systems used by Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

InterSystems has had a presence in NZ for 25 years. It is hoping to accelerate uptake of its data platforms with increased government funding for New Zealand’s Hira digital health program.
